Hanna Brechka

Hanna has received a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Clinical Specialization from the University of Calgary. She has experience working with individuals with complex life circumstances associated with homelessness, domestic violence, substance-related disorders, and mental health issues.
Hanna practices from a strength-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented perspective. She provides a safe environment where people can process and gain the insights and awareness they are seeking.
Hanna enjoys providing support to clients for anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting, and stress management. In sessions, she strives to build hope and client's trust in themselves. Hanna utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy.
