Private Autism Assessment for Children, Teens and Adults
Manor Clinic provides private autism assessments in Edmonton for children age 3 and older, adolescents, and adults. Our current wait time is 2 to 4 weeks. No physician referral is required. Our registered psychologists use gold-standard tools including the ADOS-2 and ADI-R to assess social, communication, and behavioural patterns and provide an accurate diagnosis.

Wait Times and Access
Our current wait time for an autism assessment is 2 to 4 weeks. Assessment through Alberta Health Services requires a physician referral, and wait times are commonly over one year. Manor Clinic accepts self-referrals, so guardians and adults can book directly without waiting for a referral.
Do I Need a Referral?
No referral is required. Guardians and adults can request an assessment directly. We also accept referrals from physicians, psychiatrists, and psychologists, and work collaboratively with them to ensure continuity of care.
Post Diagnostic Support
Following a diagnosis, we provide personalized care plans, behavioural strategies, and therapeutic guidance, supporting both the individual and the family through every step of the process.
What Is Involved and What It Costs?
A complete assessment involves 9.5 to 11.5 hours of psychologist time depending on complexity: clinical interviews, direct assessment using the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, collateral information from school or family, scoring, a detailed written report, and a feedback session.
Fees are billed hourly at the rate recommended by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. Because the total varies with age and complexity, we confirm it during a brief intake call. The call is free with no obligation.
Portions may be claimable under private health benefits. We provide the documentation you need to submit a claim.
Our Approach
What sets Manor Clinic apart is our multidisciplinary team. Alongside our autism-assessing psychologists, we have mental health therapists, an autism life coach, and a consulting psychiatrist who meet regularly to discuss cases. Beyond diagnosis, our therapists help clients manage emotional and behavioural challenges, our life coach offers practical guidance for daily life, school, and work, and our psychiatrist reviews treatment options for co-occurring conditions such as depression and anxiety and supports clients in obtaining educational and workplace accommodations.
Our assessments also cover related concerns such as ADHD, intellectual disability, giftedness, and learning disorders, with each client receiving a detailed, personalized report. Our clinic is located in Southwest Edmonton and serves clients across Alberta.
