Behavioral Assessments for Children and Adults

At Manor Clinic, our psychologists specialize in comprehensive behavioral assessments for individuals of all ages. Using evidence-based tools, we evaluate behavioral patterns, emotional regulation, and social interactions to provide an accurate understanding of the challenges a person may be facing. Early and thorough assessment is essential in helping individuals access the appropriate interventions, strategies, and support they need to improve their behavior and overall quality of life.

Age Range for Behavioral Assessments:

We offer behavioral assessments for children aged 3 and above, as well as for adults, ensuring that individuals across all stages of life can receive the appropriate support and behavioral interventions.

Common Reasons for Requesting a Behavioral Assessment:

Behavioral assessments are commonly requested to:

  • Identify Behavioral Issues: Pinpoint concerns like aggression, defiance, anxiety, or social withdrawal.
  • Assist with Diagnosis: Aid in diagnosing conditions such as autism, ADHD, conduct disorder, or anxiety disorders.
  • Support Treatment Planning: Provide valuable information to create individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Monitor Progress: Track improvements and make adjustments to treatment strategies over time.

Referral Process:

Parents, guardians, or adults can directly request a behavioral assessment or seek input from a teacher, physician, or other educational or mental health professionals. A formal referral letter is not required.

Post Diagnostic Support:

Following a behavioral assessment, our multidisciplinary team, including psychologists and behavioral specialists, provides ongoing support. We offer individualized care plans with strategies for managing challenging behaviors, therapeutic interventions, and recommendations for behavioral therapy. We also collaborate with schools or workplaces as needed and provide parent or caregiver support training to help manage behaviors at home and in social environments.
