Bernadene (Bernie) Mallon is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work Degree from Dalhousie University and more than 30 years of experience in clinical social work, program development, and interdisciplinary health care. She has spent the majority of her career at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton, where she has worked across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs supporting individuals of all ages with complex medical, neurological, and developmental conditions.
Bernie is widely recognized for her expertise in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). For more than 15 years, she served as the Project Lead and Coordinator of the Adult FASD Assessment Clinic at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, where she played a key role in developing and implementing the program and coordinating multidisciplinary assessments for adults with possible FASD. Her work has involved program development, assessment coordination, case consultation, and collaboration with health care professionals and community service providers.
At Manor Clinic, Bernie joins the team as a consultant, providing guidance on FASD-related assessments, systems navigation, and complex case consultation.
