Christina Elder (She/Her)

Canadian Certified Counsellor

Christina Elder is a dedicated therapist with a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Education, and certification as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Before becoming a therapist, she spent eight years as a teacher, working closely with children, adolescents, and parents. Her background in education has given her a deep understanding of how people learn, grow, and navigate challenges across different life stages, particularly in areas such as neurodiversity, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.

Christina takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, recognizing that each client has unique experiences, values, and needs. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and make meaningful progress. She also emphasizes psychoeducation as a tool for awareness, helping clients understand their experiences while guiding them toward values-driven action.

Committed to providing a warm, inclusive space, Christina takes a developmentally and systemically informed approach where she recognizes the impact of relationships, family dynamics, and life circumstances on mental health. Whether supporting children, adolescents, parents, or young adults, she strives to empower her clients with the tools and confidence to foster resilience, self-compassion, and long-term well-being.
