At Manor Clinic, we offer DBT, a structured and evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals manage emotional dysregulation, interpersonal challenges, and self-destructive behaviors. DBT is particularly effective for individuals with borderline personality disorder, as well as those experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties.
DBT is a comprehensive therapeutic approach that combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices. It focuses on enhancing emotional regulation, improving interpersonal effectiveness, and developing coping strategies for distress tolerance. By teaching individuals to accept their emotions while also working toward change, DBT promotes healthier relationships and a more balanced emotional state.
DBT is suitable for adolescents aged 13 and older and adults, with adaptations available to meet the specific needs of different age groups.
Individuals can request therapy directly. A formal referral is not required.
DBT is typically delivered over a series of 16 weeks, with sessions lasting 50 minutes each. The program usually includes both individual therapy and group skills training.
