Dr Rais Ahmed MBBS, MSc (Psychiatry), FRCPsych is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience across diverse healthcare systems. He completed his medical degree at Nishtar Medical University, followed by specialist training in psychiatry in the UK, and holds a Master’s degree in Psychiatry & Mental Health from Keele University. Dr Ahmed is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has held national leadership roles, including Associate Registrar and Chair of the Leadership & Management Committee at the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Ahmed’s clinical expertise spans mood disorders, psychosis, and anxiety disorders, with additional experience in early intervention, assertive outreach, and rehabilitation psychiatry. He provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and supports digital innovation in mental health care. His practice includes working with adults and young people, and he is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care.
He has contributed significantly to clinical transformation, quality improvement, and research, serving as Principal Investigator for multiple international clinical trials. Dr Ahmed is passionate about advancing mental health services, promoting co-production with service users and carers, and supporting staff development.
